The Emlenton Mill is pleased to present Jeannette Campesino and friends Saturday August 16 at 7pm in a free concert on the patio. They will present a varied program of British and American folksongs, spirituals, ballads and the favorite pop tune of the 30’s “Blue Moon”. As a retired music educator, Campesino is grateful for this opportunity to showcase local talent, claiming that the value of musical expression is a priceless gift. She has gathered together fellow musicians who also delight in the magic of rhythm and harmony and believe in the message of the melodies. The ensemble of ten (including two children) represents a wide area around Emlenton. She and her husband, Angel Campesino along with neighbor Shannon Barrios are from Emlenton. Jerry Gressley (vocals and harmonica) is from Kennerdell, Rich Lauer is a guitarist from Parker, and cousins Maura McCaslin and Rachel Marra are from Sunbury and Herman respectively. Keyboard is played by Nineveh resident Deb Jones whose eleven year old daughter, Talia, is singing two special songs along with nine year old Eva Bulger of Sewickley. The group invites all out to The Emlenton Mill Creamery at 201 Main Street, Saturday at 7:00 pm.
