My grandfather, (my father’s father), Arvid Oscar Johnson, used to own and operate Emlenton Mill in the 40s. He lost his arm to a grist accident. I tried to buy the old sign for my father but the owner at the time would have nothing doing. My second cousin managed to save a few photos of it over the years so I made my father a collage of them for his 80th birthday. Too bad it burned.
